1984's Holiday TV December continues with a screening of "Star Wars Holiday Special." In this 2 hour live-action TV variety show special, Hans Solo and Chewbacca are on their way to celebrate the holidays with the Wookies when they are attacked by Imperial Star Destroyers. Will they make it back in time to celebrate with Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2?  Complete with musical numbers, it stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford featuring guest stars Harvey Korman, Art Carney, Diahann Carroll and even Bea Arthur! This special is so notoriously awful that George Lucas has been quoted as saying "If I had the time and a sledgehammer, I would track down every copy of that show and smash it!" Come watch tonight and dance to all your 80's favorites by the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Wham, Bananarama, Prince, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Debbie Gibson, Culture Club, The Go-Go's, Michael Jackson, Madonna and the rest.

1984 is a GAY 80's dance party that takes place every Friday night at the Pyramid Club. The party is a high-energy campy affair, with the emphasis on upbeat music and 80s pop/new wave/disco spun by DJ Chip Duckett. The music comes from the years 1979-1993.

At 1984, you might find yourself partying next to 80's icons Andy Bell from Erasure, Marc Almond, Jimmy Somerville, or members of the Go-Go's, Dead or Alive, and A Flock of Seagulls --- because they've all come to 1984 to hang out. Or you might hook up with the stars from "Grey's Anatomy" and "Queer Eye" --- they're often at 1984!

But really, who cares? Shut up and dance. Our Lips Are Sealed!

See ya at 1984 this Friday. The doors open at 10pm, with the dance floor opening around 11pm. The basement features video screenings, often around a special theme (such as "ABBA rarities" or an all Madonna night). The club is open until 4am. Click on the flyer picture above right for more information about theme nights that are currently scheduled.

1984 is STRICTLY 21 and over. Please be sure to bring ID, no matter what your age is --- the club ALWAYS cards!
