Liz Renay was a uniquely campy personality, best known today for her role as Muffy St. Jacques in the John Waters film Desperate Living. She was a tabloid sensation in the 50’s and 60’s who went to prison for refusing to rat out her boyfriend, mobster Mickey Cohen. Her autobiographies, My Face for the World to See and My First 1,000 Men, are considered camp classics.
Maggie Moore is a New York singer and actor who appeared in the films American Splendor, The Visitor, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. She starred in and toured with Are You There, God? It’s Me, Ann-Margret, as Yitzak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch off-Broadway, and in Jackie on Broadway. She performs with The Chanteuse Club alongside Kate Pierson and Gayle Ann Dorsey.
The Cutting Room recently re-opened in a new space. The venue is owned by actor Chris Noth and musician Steve Walter.
