Each week this 3 floor dance club features Pop Rocks! signature pop music spun by DJ Chip Duckett and go-go boys courtesy of NiteCamp. Doors open at 10:00 pm with $2 cocktails from 10-11pm. There is no cover. Ages 21 and over admitted with valid government issued photo I.D. Roof deck is open all night with umbrellas for rainy nights and heat lamps for cold nights.
POP ROCKS! was created in 1999 as a celebration of up-to-the-minute popular culture with an emphasis on chart-topping pop music -- a genre of music rarely, if ever, played in New York City nightclubs before Pop Rocks! began. It was named "Best Gay Party" by New York Magazine (twice), New York Press and The Village Voice, as well as multiple HX Awards nominations. It was also featured on VH1's "Totally Gay" and in Rolling Stone Magazine. In addition to New York, Pop Rocks! has been presented in Miami's South Beach, Provincetown, Philadelphia, Fire Island, and even Akron, Ohio. It's youthful, high energy vibe has attracted the likes of Janet Jackson, Boy George, Graham Norton, RuPaul, Rufus Wainwright, John Cameron Mitchell, Deborah Harry, *NSync's Joey Fatone, Junior Vasquez, Queer Eye For the Straight Guy's Jai Rodriguez, ousted American Idol Frenchie Davis, and Who's the Boss? star Dan Pintauro, among countless others to the dance floors of NYC venues including Flamingo East, Plaid and Discotheque.
