Sex Politics Overshadow The End of The World
Eclipse
** Part of Titans Theatre Company's "Grand Illusions" Season **
Performances Begin April 15 at the Abingdon Theater
Beginning Tuesday April 15th, Titans Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Andrea Lepcio's Eclipse as the final installment of their "Grand Illusions" Season. This "Twilight Zone" romantic comedy explores how the world we inhabit is created by the choices we make, especially when that world is about to end. Under the direction of Kathryn Moroney, the play features performances by Dan Diggles and Adrienne Hurd.
In Eclipse, pedestrian rage destroys New York City and the rest of the world. Zoe and Al, two major corporate consultants are the only survivors. As Central Park becomes a primeval garden, they begin to realize each can get what they most desire... or can they? She's a lesbian. He's not. And their troubles are just beginning. A highly visual and physical play, the show uses everything from mime to song as Zoe fights for the Garden and Al for the City.
After receiving her B.A. in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic, Andrea Lepcio worked as a professional mime, farmer and activist. An M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley landed her a job as a research analyst and then Vice-President/Head of Real Estate Market Analysis at Chemical Bank.
