Jackie Beat has been named Best Drag Queen by New York Press , and Best Live Performance by HX Magazine. She moved to New York from LA in 1997 to star in the off-Broadway production of "Valley of the Dolls," and later starred in off-Broadway’s "Tell-Tale". She has appeared on the big screen in the Joel Schumacher/Robert DeNiro film "Flawless" as well as the independent films "Grief," and "Wigstock." Her past performances at Fez have included "Uptown Lady, Downtown Girl," "A Whole Lotta Love," and "I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On." Beat moved back to LA in 2000 to assume a role as head writer on the short-lived WB sketch comedy show "Hype!"
