"LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE" STAR ALISON ARNGRIM in

CONFESSIONS OF A PRAIRIE BITCH
Mother’s Day Weekend! May 12 & 13

"Secrets fly like tumbleweeds in a tornado as the former-Nellie dishes dirt about her 'Little House' cohorts and show-biz folks." -- AOL Digital City

"wickedly funny... brings Nellie Oleson back to the irreverent faithful, sans apologies" -- Los Angeles Times

"When Nellie Oleson was good, she was very, very good. But when she was bad, she was a cunt." -- Detour

Comic, former child star, outspoken activist, and 2006 TV Land Award winner ALISON ARNGRIM returns to New York with CONFESSIONS OF A PRAIRIE BITCH for one weekend only, May 12 & 13 at The Cutting Room. Best known as acid-tongued, pre-Midol meanie Nellie Oleson from "Little House on the Prairie", Alison Arngrim presents an uproarious evening of storytelling and stand-up about life as everyone's favorite toxic pre-teen brat, complete with petticoats and ringlets. Never afraid to dish the dirt on TV land, she let all the secrets loose of "Little House on the Prairie", Hollywood and much more. Recalling her life and career as bitchy Nellie Oleson, Arngrim startles audiences internationally with off-color jokes about child stars and TV icons of the 1970’s and 80s.

CONFESSIONS OF A PRAIRIE BITCH runs May 12 & 13 at 8:00pm. The Cutting Room is located at 19 West 24th (accessible from the N,R,F,V & 6 trains at 23rd Street). Tickets are $20, available at 212-352-3101 or TheaterMania.com.

Alison, quite pleasant and hysterically funny in real life, reflects on her role as Nellie: "I loved being bad! In real life, I was bully fodder. When I got the part, I was like, 'I'm the scary one? I get to make the other little girls cry?' Most people don't get to do that. That's why there are serial killers."

"In high school, guys didn’t want to date me because I was evil Nellie Oleson," Arngrim once told The Globe. "They were intimidated because they thought I really was a bitch. Still, I did get lots of offers for sex from prison inmates who wanted me only if I wore my Nellie wig."

Since the age of fifteen Alison Arngrim has been performing stand-up at such notable comedy clubs as Laugh Factory, The Improvisation and Comedy Store. In addition to seven years on "Little House on the Prairie," Alison has guest starred on "Love Boat" and "Fantasy Island," among others. After her good friend and "Little House" co-star Steve Tracy died of AIDS in 1986, Alison became a prominent AIDS activist with AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA). In 1988 Alison spoke before the Presidential Commission on AIDS and was the first woman to receive the "Friend in Deed" award at APLA. In 1992 Alison was presented with a resolution by the Los Angeles City Council commending her on her work on behalf of people living with HIV and AIDS. In 2004, Arngrim revealed to the world that she was sexually molested as a child and joined the advisory board of Protect, a group that fights to give children a voice in the war against child abuse. In April 2006 she received the prestigious Justice Award from Justice for Children, a national child protection organization.
