Style Network's "Drag Martha Stewart" Presents Annual Holiday Show

BRINI MAXWELL: HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
One Night Only! Sunday, December 10 at The Cutting Room
** featuring The David Downing Trio **

"hilariously deadpan" -- Bon Apetit

"dispensing useful household hints with a mellifluous deadpan, the latter-day Doris Day has grown into a national cable-cult fixation." -- LA Times

"a hoot... essential viewing" -- Entertainment Weekly

Style Network show hostess and drag celebrity BRINI MAXWELL will present her 4th annual live holiday show, BRINI MAXWELL: HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS, for one night only, Sunday, December 10th at 8:00pm. The show will be presented at The Cutting Room (19 West 24th Street -- accessible from the N,R,F,V & 6 trains at 23rd Street). Tickets are $20, available at 212-352-3101 or Theatermania.com. A meet-and-greet session with Brini will follow the performance.

The most wonderful time of the year gets even more wonderful with BRINI MAXWELL: HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. This heartwarming evening features music, banter and helpful holiday planning tips from BRINI MAXWELL. It includes a variety of standards including "The Christmas Waltz," "This Christmas," and Brini's signature song "Entertaining at Home."

Accompanying Maxwell during this intimate night of chat and song will be GLAMA Award nominee The David Downing Trio. This melodious blend of piano, bass & drum, with the occasional saxophone, was called "rare and satisfying... shades of Mel Torme’s swinging mixed with Chet Baker’s laid back cool sound" by Out Magazine.

Described as part Doris Day, part Mary Tyler Moore, BRINI MAXWELL makes kitsch feel classy through her unparalleled personal flair for home design, entertaining and savvy household tips. She first began sharing her vintage/classic know-how with other Manhattanites in 1998 through her self-titled cable access television show. After five years on the local airwaves her show was picked up by the Style Network. The subsequent series has attracted a diverse audience thorough its national platform.

BRINI MAXWELL is the brain child of Ben Sander. Ben was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised there and the Midwest. At the Fashion Institute of Technology, between spontaneous bouts of cleaning and organizing the student union, Ben achieved a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design. Ben still lives in the same tiny intricately apportioned New York City apartment used as the set for the original television show.
