Drag Star Cleans Up Her Act

JACKIE BEAT in REHAB!
May 25 - 27 at The Cutting Room

"Inappropriate, lewd, and disgusting" -- Village Voice

"If she actually slays you with her barbed-wire witticism, she’ll politely step over your dead carcass on her way to the bar" -- HX

Direct from Las Vegas where she has been performing as Roseanne Barr’s opening act for the past two months, drag star JACKIE BEAT returns to NYC for her annual Memorial Day weekend show. Beginning May 25th, Beat will debut REHAB! at The Cutting Room (19 West 24th Street -- accessible from the N,R,F,V & 6 trains at 23rd Street). This limited engagement runs for 3 performances only, May 25 - 27 at 8pm. Tickets are $18, available to purchase online now or by calling 212-352-3101.

Not to be outdone by Britney or Lindsay, everyone's favorite drag superstar JACKIE BEAT is going to finally face her demons and attempt to conquer her addictions to booze, drugs, sex, food, gambling, shopping and the N word. Tragic? Yes. Boring? NEVER! Join Jackie in REHAB! as she sings her way through recovery with lots of new material (including the juicy new song, "Beaver!" and her own take on the intoxicating Amy Winehouse ditty "Rehab") plus a few gems from her sordid past. Bring a friend -- hell, make it an intervention! And remember: the bar is open throughout the performance.

L.A. based performer JACKIE BEAT has been named Best Drag Queen by New York Press and Best Live Performance by HX Magazine. She has appeared on the big screen in the Joel Schumacher/Robert DeNiro film Flawless as well as the indie films Grief, and Wigstock. Her stage credits include Valley of the Dolls and Tell-Tale Off-Broadway and numerous live solo shows including "Uptown Lady, Downtown Girl," "How the Bitch Stole Christmas," and "I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On." She has written for the Sci Fi Channel, the WB sketch comedy show "Hype!" and US Magazine’s Fashion Police. She has also provided the voice of Bertha on Nickelodeon’s animated series "Kung-Fu Spy Troll". She is the subject of the documentary film "My Name is Jackie Beat" culled from over 5 years of performance footage including commentary from Joan Rivers, Margaret Cho, Lady Bunny, and Roseanne Barr, among others. She is also the lead singer of the popular electroclash band Dirty Sanchez.
