RuPaul's Drag Race favorite ALASKA returns to New York with the premiere of her 6th annual holiday show, CHRISTMAS IN SPACE. Performances begin December 12 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
This year ALASKA and JEREMY are going to be spending the holidays... in space. Join international siren of stage and screen, Alaska, and her psychic sidekick Handsome Jeremy, as they take a musical journey through space and time. What perils await them beyond the galaxy we call home? Will they meet certain danger, or will they find a civilization even more beautiful and wondrous than our own? And what is the best way to hang tinsel in space?
After her spaceship crashed in the Matanuska Valley, a remote part of south-central Alaska, the U.S. government recovered an emaciated… make that an emancipated alien, or that’s how the story goes. ALASKA went on to become one of the final 3 contestants on the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race on Logo. In October 2013, she starred in The Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Woodlawn Theater in San Antonio. At The Laurie Beechman Theater she has paid tribute to Stevie Nicks, Cher, The Golden Girls, and all things gay. Her past holiday shows include Happy Birthday Jesus, Blue Christmas, Christmas is Gay and Your Christmas is Terrible. She is also one of the AAA Girls with Willam and Courtney Act.
ALASKA: FOR HEAVEN'S SNAKES! runs December 12 -16, 18 & 19 at 7pm and Dec. 17 at 9:30pm. The Laurie Beechman Theater is located inside West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street -- at Ninth Avenue, accessible from the A,C,E,N,R,V,F,1,2,3 trains at 42nd Street.
