Giddyup! Drag queen legend, icon, and star TRIXIE MATTEL steps out of her plastic pumps and back into Grandpa’s cowboy boots with a live performance inspired by her new album TWO BIRDS. As a six-song six-string folk narrative, TWO BIRDS is less of an artistic departure for Brian Firkus (Trixie's alter ego) and more of a return home. The song cycle saddles up to the whimsy of childhood while embracing the heartbreaks of adulthood. With songs including "Mama Don't Make Me Put On That Dress Again," "Make Up Your Mind," and "Seen My Man," TWO BIRDS is a collection of a traveling comedienne’s love stories as told by the countryman behind the curtain.

TRIXIE MATTEL: TWO BIRDS will be presented Tuesday, May 23 & Thursday, May 25 at 9:30pm at The Laurie Beechman Theater (inside West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street -- at Ninth Avenue, accessible from the A,C,E,N,R,V,F,1,2,3 trains at 42nd Street). Tickets are $24, with a $20 food/drink minimum. A $44 VIP ticket that includes reserved seating and a meet-and-greet are also available.
